Both gas masks and air respirators are emergency protection tools for chlorine leakage in the chlorination workshop. Chlorine gas is a highly toxic gas with strong irritant, improper use will cause serious consequences, in order to protect the life safety of the workers of the wood company, this system is formulated.

1. Use regulations

1, the use of gas masks:

l), gas masks are strictly prohibited in tanks, tanks and other closed containers, oxygen content is less than 18% and toxic gas concentration is more than 1% of the environment; An air respirator must be used in such an environment, and when the situation inside the workshop is unknown, the worst-case scenario should be considered and an air respirator should be used.

2) The filter tank/box with the gas mask should be made of anti-chlorine materials, and the filter tank marked with gray indicates that it is suitable for chlorine environment;

3) A suitable mask should be selected before use, and its edge should be consistent with the head when worn, and it is better not to cause headache.

4) The mask and filter tank should be connected before use, and check the air tightness of the whole mask. The inspection method is to put on the mask and block the air intake at the bottom of the filter tank with the palm of the hand, and take a deep breath. If no air is inhaled, it indicates that the mask is air-tight.

5) When using, the rubber plug of the intake hole at the bottom of the filter tank must be removed first, otherwise there will be suffocation accidents, threatening personal safety.

6) After use, the mask can be washed and dried with soapy water, and then wiped with 75% alcohol cotton ball for disinfection. The filter tank should be the top cover and the bottom rubber plug should be tightened to keep the seal, to prevent the internal agent from moisture failure;

7) When corrosion holes and rustling sound are found in the filter tank of the gas mask, the use should be stopped and replaced in time.

8) The gas mask should be placed in a fixed position, inspected regularly, kept by a special person, fixed the user, and a record card should be prepared for each mask, and the corresponding record should be made for the date of use, inspection, failure, scrap, etc.

2, the use of air breathing apparatus regulations:

1) Gas cylinder

1.1 The compressed gas cylinder must be maintained and maintained by a special person; Cover with identification stamp after maintenance.

1.2 The cylinder valve must be visually inspected after each use. It shall comply with EN144-1 and EN 144-2.

1.3 The air produced by the air compressor or other equipment used to fill the cylinder must comply with the specification requirements of the EN 132 standard (where the oxygen content is 23.01%, the nitrogen content is 75.51%, the hydrogen content is 1.286%, the carbon dioxide content is 0.04%); The content of water in the cylinder measured at atmospheric pressure shall not be greater than 35mg/m3.

1.4 The air in the cylinder must be breathable air.

5 It is strictly prohibited to completely empty the cylinder (maintain pressure: 5 bar). 6 When transporting and storing gas cylinders, the cylinder must have a valve cover to protect the threads from external contamination or damage. 1.7 During transportation, the gas cylinder must be placed vertically with the valve facing upward.

1.8 Both hands must be used when handling the gas cylinder.

1.10 Do not strike, roll, or drop the gas cylinder on the ground during transportation and handling.

1.11 When the gas cylinder pressure is lower than 55 bar, the alarm whistle starts to sound, the user should stop using, and the person should go to the relevant unit to fill the gas; The maximum working pressure of the gas cylinder shall not exceed 30Mpa.

1.12 Before use, special personnel check the starting of the respirator and the air pressure of the cylinder, and conduct an airtight test.

2), clean

2. 1 After each use, the soiled parts on the respirator must be cleaned with warm water and neutral detergent; Then rinse with warm water.

2. 2 After each use, the hose, air supply valve and respirator should be disinfected.

2.3 The respirator must be dried after disinfection, cleaning and rinsing.

3) Check

3. 1 After each cleaning or replacement of a part, its function must be rechecked. Check the diaphragm rubber and plastic parts of the air supply valve for distortion, cutting, or any other improper treatment. All joints must be guaranteed to rotate on the pivot.

3.2 The disinfection, cleaning, inspection and repair of the respirator must be recorded in detail.

2. Storage requirements

1, filter tank storage, do not remove the lid of the filter tank, filter tank should be stored in a dry and cool place, away from toxic gases;

2, the mask must be stored in a dry backlit cool place, away from heat sources, air sources or chemical solvents; The storage temperature is -200C to 5 00C, and the humidity does not exceed 90%;

3, mask storage, the application of sealed packaging storage;

4, the respirator should be stored away from dust, light, high or low temperature, humidity, chemical substances, corrosive and dangerous substances; The storage environment temperature must be between 150C - 300C, the environment must be dry, no gas or steam emission.

3. Inspection requirements

1. Inspection of filter tank:

1. Check the shelf life and effectiveness of the filter tank stored after the first use once a month, and make detailed records;

1. 2 Sealed storage of the filter tank, check the effectiveness of the shelf life of filter irrigation once a year, and make detailed records;

2, mask inspection:

Monthly check the mask, band, side edge for damage, seal gasket and valve for cracks, if found above, immediately replace, do not continue to use defective mask.

Mask maintenance rules

3, air breathing apparatus inspection

3.1 Check the cylinder pressure once a week and after use, check the pressure of compressed air in the cylinder: completely open the cylinder valve, the pressure gauge must show the following pressure: 2001±10 bar, the daily discharge pressure of the cylinder reducing valve must be maintained at 7bar; Check air tightness: open and close the gas cylinder, observe the pressure gauge, and the pressure drop must not be more than 20 bar within 1 minute;

3.2 Every year, the whole set of devices shall be cleaned and disinfected, checked and started, airtight test and hose disinfection shall be carried out; Test the sound film of the air supply valve.

3.3 The air pressure test of the gas cylinder is carried out once every three years, and the test pressure is 45Mpa.

3.4 Replace the sound film and spring every 6 years; Conduct airtight test and mask connection test; Complete overhaul of pressure reducing valve.

4. Service life

1. The sealing storage time of the filter tank after the first use shall not exceed 3 months; If the liquid chlorine leaks during use, the filter tank is only allowed to be used once;

2, sealed storage filter tank service life shall not exceed 4 years;

3. The service life of the cover is 8 years;

4, the service life of the gas cylinder is 10 years

5. Maintenance

1. Maintenance of the mask. The mask is composed of a face mirror, a mesh gel fast dressing strap, a double microphone and a connecting port of the air supply valve.

1. Maintenance of the mirror. Pay attention to friction and impact on rough, hard materials to prevent the mirror from grinding and affecting light transmission and clarity or even damage.

1.2 Maintenance of the wearing tie (microphone, air supply valve connection). The material of the dress tie is rubber, usually when wearing it, it should be tight according to the requirements, and it can not be too hard, while preventing the damage of some corrosive substances, and it is found that the damage is repaired in time.

1.3 Maintenance of microphone and air supply valve connection. Some substances cannot be allowed to enter the interior, blocking the small holes inside and impacting the plastic material to break and damage, resulting in unclear calls or unstable connections with the air supply valve. The full cover should be disinfected with disinfectant as far as possible after each use to avoid the cross-infection of various diseases, and be stored with special cloth sets after drying.

2. Maintenance and maintenance of the back frame. The back bracket consists of a back bracket, shoulder strap, belt, cylinder fixing belt and pressure reducer, medium pressure flexible catheter, quick plug, pressure gauge, alarm whistle and supply valve.

2. 1 Maintenance of back support, shoulder strap and cylinder fixing belt. Handle gently during use to prevent damage caused by collision and friction with sharp substances. After each use, if it is soaked by water, it should be taken to a dry and ventilated place to dry, avoid exposure to sunlight. Keep the tightening straps in the maximum position to ensure better attachment of the air breathing apparatus to the combatant's body.

2. 2 Maintenance of air supply valve and medium pressure catheter. Its main role is used to provide air to the user, the role of the air supply valve is to switch the air supply valve, and the role of the emergency flushing valve is used to assist the gas supply, in addition to the mirror fog and emission of residual gas. When in use, it should be used correctly according to the operation requirements in the instruction manual, do not damage or lose the "0 type "circle of each connection interface, and cannot be exposed to the sun and in contact with corroded items to avoid damage.

2.3 Maintenance of pressure reducing valves, alarm whistles, quick plugs and pressure gauges. Pressure reducing valves, alarm whistles, and quick plugs must be carefully checked before and after use to see if their devices are intact and can play their role, especially after being soaked in water, they should be dried in a dry and ventilated place. For the fast plug must be filled with a certain amount of lubricating oil to ensure that it is complete and easy to use. Pressure gauge protection: when checking the cylinder pressure is also a check on it, after checking, to release the memory of the remaining gas, to ensure that the pressure gauge and medium pressure hose will not be damaged under constant pressure; At the same time, it can not be used to measure excess pressure to avoid overload.

3. Maintenance of compressed air bottle and cylinder valve

3. 1 Cylinder valve is used to control the cylinder switch components, to correctly switch, usually need to add a certain amount of lubricating oil.

3. 2 Compressed gas cylinders are mainly used to store compressed air, currently there are two kinds of steel and carbon fiber. When punching, it should be noted that the punching air should not exceed the rated safety pressure, and the air humidity should not be too large, which will lead to oxidation of the inner wall of the cylinder; When in use, it can not be violently collided and friction with sharp objects, light will lead to cylinder damage, heavy will lead to explosion; If necessary, make a protective cover for the gas cylinder (especially carbon fiber gas cylinder) to prevent upper friction damage. Steel cylinders should also be rinsed with a layer of anti-rust paint to avoid oxidation of the outside of the cylinder; Cylinders filled with gas can not be stored in the sun exposure and high temperature to avoid damage or explosion.

Six, use attention

1. The user must be trained and qualified before use to ensure that the respiratory protective equipment can be worn correctly.

2. The integrity of respiratory protective equipment should be checked before use, and any mask and filter can not be used alone.

3. Before entering a dangerous environment, you should wear respiratory protective equipment, and personnel working in dangerous environments should always wear respiratory protective equipment.

4. In the process of use, when the user feels uncomfortable symptoms such as odor, irritation, nausea, etc., he should immediately leave the dangerous environment, and check whether the respiratory protective equipment is faulty. If there is no fault, the filter should be replaced in time.

5. When using a long tube mask, it should be noted that the air intake can not be blocked, and the airway can not be folded or flattened, and the air flow should be ensured.

6. Before using the air respirator, be sure to check the inflation pressure in the cylinder, and the pressure should be inflated in time.

7. If necessary, please wear chemical protective clothing and use it together with respiratory protective equipment.
